Companies in Germany are on average 8-10 years old – according to a study by the University of Rostock. SCHREIBER + WEINERT has done better: 60 years have passed since it was entered in the Hanover Commercial Register on 1 July 1964.

A lot has changed in these 60 years: Technologies, speed, sources of supply, product ranges. Here are a few examples: Whilst we traded in around 500 articles in the year we were founded, we now trade in 500 thousand! In the founding phase, we focussed on customers in and around Hanover, today we deliver to all corners of the world. In the beginning, we only had a few corporations as partners, but now DAX companies are among our regular customers.

For example, our furnishing projects shine in Mongolia, Iran and St Lucia (Caribbean). Our products are ordered via eProcurement platforms by Mercedes, Bosch, Schenker and many others. What has remained constant is the will to create excellent solutions for our customers and partners. And to keep fuelling business with new ideas.

A contract was signed with Deutsche Börse just in time for the company’s 60th anniversary. The company is headquartered in the financial centre of Frankfurt-Main and has more than 14,000 employees worldwide, including in Luxembourg, Prague, Cork, London, New York and Chicago, Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, Tokyo and Sydney. SCHREIBER + WEINERT will take over the global procurement and supply of special items for the Group from 1 July 2024. The aim is to reduce the no-touch rate for orders to zero. We can achieve this – for your company too.
